**Cost per view** is the average cost per actual measured video view on YouTube and other video content platforms.

CPV/cpv can be calculated by the following formula:

> 🥦 Total spend ➗ total views

We traditionally report YouTube ads with cost-per-view metrics; for many others, this metric does not apply (and may or may not be reported).
